How can we help You?

The Hungarian Ice Hockey Players’ Association is a nonprofit organisation, which is working for the future of the hungarian ice hockey and the ice hockey players. All, who are involved in the daily work of the organisation are deeply devoted to icehockey, and are working for supporting the ice hockey players building their dreams and future, and helping in their daily lifes. We know, that players and parents have different challanges in different age groups, so keeping an eye on that, we build our program to make sure to get the best out of every situation.

Who are we?

The Hungarian Ice Hockey Players’ Association was established in 2016. We realized that we need an organisation which represents the players and their views and opinions, and showing power and talking to the sport clubs and the federation. We could establish ourselfs as an equal partner in discussions and negotiations, on which we are constantly focusing on.

The rebuild of the organisation started in February 2023, with a lot of talks and meetings. After months of working on it, we are now ready to show off our new program.

What do we do?

Our program is focusing on these points for helping our member players and strenghten their position in hungarian ice hockey community:

Representing the ice hockey players in front of the ice hockey federation and the sport clubs. This is a collective representation, which is very important for icehockeyplayers. We stand up for our players and represent them and their opinion.
Legal representation. We provide legal help for players.
Athlete’s FUTURE LIFE program. We help ice hockey players to build up their private work life after their professional ice hockey carrier, by counsuling them, looking for a job etc.
Health insurance administration.
Professionals’ List. We maintain a database of our member players, where we list up their educations. So if another member is looking for a professional, we can recommend the fellow member.
Team Captains’ Forum. Every month we have a meeting for professional ice hockey teams’ team captains, where we report and discuss the daily issues and news.
Co-operations, sponsors and price-reduced purchases for members. A very important cooperation for is with Win-win Sport Agency, who are our hockey „agents”. We have more and more cooperations, where we raise discounts and other allowances for ice hockey players.

How much does it cost to become a member?

The membership fee is now 14.000 HUF/per annum. The membership is valid for one year (not one season).
